About me

Art is a refuge, art is memory

As the quote above states, art has always been an integral part of me. It's been and continues to be my refuge and my fondest memory. It is where I find solace and where I pour my entire being into a new form of expression.  I made the transition to digital mediums after 10+ years of traditional art, a decision I do not regret, especially since I do my best to work traditionally from time to time as well.

My art style tends to lean predominantly towards concept art and realism, though I do enjoy rendering in a stylized manner as well. My work is almost always heavy on symbolism since I have a passion for underlining each of my works with symbols and elements from the book/myth/legend that inspired them.

Due to a deep interest in Physics and Chemistry, in my spare time I like to explore fractal and algorithmic art styles since they allow me to delve into the artistic side of mathematical equations, codes and algorithms. The symmetries and patterns that result from such designs are always mesmerising and bring a sense of complexity and logic to the finished work.

My digital portfolio currently consists of many commissioned works of bookish characters and personal abstract concepts. It is my hope to keep expanding it and enrich it with various styles and approaches.

Fantasy settings are my preferred projects, but I enjoy delving in reality inspired works as well.

Tell me your vision, I will bring it to life.

Payment installments and requirements

Payment process

For commissions under 200 euro: full payment is expected upfront.

For commissions over 200 euro, the total fee will be paid in two installments:

  • First installment: 50% of the total payment after signing the contract and before I start sketching the project;

  • Second installment: The remaining 50% of the payment right before delivering the finished artwork in high resolution format.

All payments are NOT REFUNDABLE.

The Buyer is required to cover the cost of the money transfer fees (ex: PayPal fees, bank transfer costs, etc.).

The fees will be paid via Paypal.

For each payment I will issue a Paypal Invoice.

Should the commissioned art not be paid within 2 days since completion, the total fee will go up by 5 euro/delayed day.

Cancellation & Refunds

I retain the right to cancel a commission regardless of its completion, progress stage and at any time if:

  • The commissioner behaves inappropriately with me or online (aggressive or phobic behavior/remarks, harrassment of a fellow artist, etc), in which case all rights to the drawing revert to me and any prior payments made are not refundable.

  • Important/unforeseen events (illness, family death, etc), in which case I will implicitly refund 100% of the payments I have received.

  • The finished artwork is not paid within 5 days following its completion, in which case all rights to the drawing revert to me and any prior payments made are not refundable.

If a project is cancelled for any reason, the commissioner cannot claim the final product nor the work in progress piece.

Should the client proceed with a Paypal chargeback at any stage where a refund is not allowed, I will decline the chargeback and Paypal will be supplied with full information regarding the emails that have transpired between myself and the client. This will also incur the client's blacklisting and the rejection of any future collaborations.

Terms & Conditions

Conditions for commercial use of the commissioned art

My work can only be used for commercial/promoting purposes once a commercial license has been purchased.

The commercial license to use the drawing for mechandising/promoting purposes involves the payment of a commercial licensing fee depending on whether the license is exclusive or non-exclusive. Please check the Commission Prices section listed above.

IMPORTANT NOTE

  • Buying a license fee ensures that the client has the rights to sell and make profit off of the artwork. Copyright belongs to the artist, unless full copyright is bought by the client.

Showcasing the commissioned art on any platform must include a credit section in which I am mentioned (and tagged if the platform allows for it). This includes and is not limited to social networks and official sites.

Full credit must be given each time the art is used/shared in posts, stories and listings.

I do not allow the removal of my signature from the commissioned illustration (unless negotiated otherwise).

Copyright & Reproduction rights

The client understands that they have no right to alter the final illustration in any way except to change its size for digital display or adjust color settings for proper printing. Please avoid the use of filters on the commissioned art when displaying it on social media. If the client desires any alterations, they need to consult me first.

The Client understands that additional payments may be required to make these alterations.

The Client is not allowed to use any part of my art in an AI training model or modify it through AI softwares, in any way, shape or form.

Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially without paying the commercial license fee, altering the artwork without my consent, claiming the artwork as your own are all considered copyright infringement

I retain the right to:

  • Display and publish the drawing on my social media platforms to properly showcase the entirety of my work;

  • Print my drawings for my personal album in order to be able to showcase my art whenever doing so online is not an option. No monetization comes from this.

  • Accept or refuse an order for any reason

What I can do:

  • Portraits

  • Abstract art

  • Landscapes

  • Logos

  • Fighting & Dynamic poses

  • Tattoo designs

Zooming in on the finished high resolution art is highly recommended as it allows you to discover all the details I add which cannot be seen at first glance

What I don't do:

  • Offensive social & religious material

  • Nudity (I can draw the characters in lingerie and underwear in a more sensual pose, but nothing too intense)

  • Explicit content of any kind (sexual, intense violence or gore)

Drawing process

Process, Turnaround times & Deadlines

The client and I will choose a suitable beginning date and deadline and book the commission.

We will discuss the commission at length to make sure that all details necessary for the project's completion are provided in full and that we both agree on the price of the artwork.

The client and I will sign a contract before the sketching phase begins, followed by me issuing a Paypal Invoice in order for the client to pay the sum we have agreed on.

Once payment is fulfilled, I will begin the first phase of the project, which is sketching the concept out and sending it to the client for approval.

The duration of the process varies depending on the complexity of the artwork (3-4 weeks). I ask that any changes to the timeline be announced promptly so that we can reschedule in a manner suitable for both parties.

Sending of WIPs & Revisions

WIP (Work In Progress) refers in this case to a draft picture of the art in progress.

I will send you WIPs of every important drawing milestone:

  • Rough sketch

  • Refined sketch & base colors

  • Refined coloring and base colored background

  • Final drawing with refined colored background (if needed)

The WIPs will be shared via email, but these pictures will not have the same resolution as the original illustration (the resolution will be slightly lower). In each email update I will ofer an estimate of when you can expect to receive the next wip.

Changes and revisions to the artwork can be made as follows:

  • Phase 1 - Rough sketch: Since this will line out the concept and basis of the project, any major changes in the pose/composition can ONLY be made here. Please note that while references (regular pictures or other artists' artworks) are highly encouraged so that I can better visualize what you have in mind, I will always solely use them as a source of inspiration and will aim to create something different as I refuse to trace or copy someone else's work.

  • Phase 2 -Refined sketch & Base colors: I will fine tune and refine the rough sketch, adding missing details and the flat colors. In this stage, smaller revisions are accepted: change of clothing style, change of props, hairstyle, change of base colors. Please note that the base colors will change significantly once the shading and highlighting become more advanced.

  • Phase 3 - Shading + rendering: This is where the magic happens! Characters and background will be shaded and highlighted in detail, I will refine all rough edges and add final touches. Any changes made here will be minor color fixing ONLY.

Please bear in mind that once a phase is approved, it will not be modified again!

Note: If important and/or key details have been missed by the illustrator (tattoos, scars, jewelry, etc...), this will be rectified without charge if the missing component is clearly seen on the reference or is specified in the concept criteria section of the contract (this section entails the full description of the artwork's concept). However, if the key details were not provided beforehand or not clearly seen on the reference(s)/contract provided, this will incur a fee based on how long it takes to be rectified.

Additional requirements

I am a very open and flexible person, so I will make any changes you deem necessary. Please feel free to message me anytime and without hesitation as my main goal is to make sure you are truly satisfied with the results. I appreciate each suggestion and pointer and will always be grateful to the people who tell me what they truly want in an honest and respectful manner.

That being said, I want to thank you for taking the time to peruse my page. Should you decide to trust me with your commission, I will do my best to create something you will truly like while bearing the hope that this is not only the beginning of a formal collaboration, but also of a friendship!
